Romania: Call for proposals for support of vulnerable groups in Bucharest

The Municipality of Bucharest launched its annual call for proposals for social services aimed at supporting vulnerable groups.

The following target groups and service types are the priority focus for 2024:

  • Victims of trafficking – residential services,
  • Victims of domestic violence – residential services,
  • Adult homeless – residential and day services,
  • Children from families at risk of social marginalisation – day services,
  • Drug users – free testing campaigns for HIV, HBV, HCV, TB etc.,
  • Children with disabilities – sensory therapies, therapies for learning difficulties etc.,
  • Drug addicted youth – unspecified social services,
  • Adults with disabilities - unspecified social services.

Eligible beneficiaries under this call include people who are refugees displaced from Ukraine.

Eligible applicants are NGOs based in Bucharest, accredited for providing social services, that hold a valid license for the type of service they propose.

Eligible projects will be implemented from June - 15 December 2024. The maximum grant awarded per project will not exceed RON 200 000 (approx. EUR 40 000) and will depend on the total number of beneficiaries and type of service proposed. View further details on this. A co-financing rate of a minimum of 10% of the total budget is mandatory for successful applicants.

Proposals (application form; budget; annexes) must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Municipality of Bucharest General Directorate for Social Work – 10 Constantin Mille St., district 1, Bucharest - by 26 April, 2024, 16:30 (local time).
