Polish doctors call on government to better inform foreigners about free coronavirus treatment

Title

In Poland, both the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 (coronavirus) are free of charge, even for those who are not insured in the Polish National Health Fund. However, there is a concern that not all foreigners living in Poland are aware of this. Doctors are therefore asking the government to carry out an extensive information campaign among foreign populations.

The Ministry of Health has prepared leaflets in several languages (including English, Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese) on how to protect oneself from COVID-19 and which healthcare institutions to contact if COVID-19 is suspected. They are distributed to foreigners in their communities and places of work.

However, these leaflets do not mention one of the most important pieces of information, which is that all medical services related to COVID-19 are free of charge.
