Multilingual information and medical care in Estonia for COVID-19

Title

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak in Estonia, the Settle in Estonia website has gathered links to the main channels and telephone numbers that provide information in three languages (see here for English and Russian).

For those not covered by state health insurance, the cost of treatment and testing for people with COVID-19 symptoms is covered by the EHIF (Estonian Health Insurance Fund). As a temporary measure, sick leave from work can be filed online through Digilugu.ee (also in English and Russian). An ID card or Mobile ID required.

Individuals are also stepping up to help with the response. At the Hack the Crisis hackathon, the eeBot team created Suve, an automated chatbot that aims to provide accurate and trustworthy information in English and Estonian, so that Estonian residents and visitors get answers to their questions from official sources.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The links above are shared on this website solely to provide an example of outreach to migrant or minority communities during this health emergency. Please speak to a medical professional if you need health-related advice.
