Worldplaces for migrant women

The European Network of Migrant Women - a project that works to amplify the voices of migrant women through labour market integration - is organising an event on migrant women's access to and participation in the European job market.

Taking place on World Refugee Day, 20 June, in Brussels, the event aims to promote inclusivity, amplify voices, and pave the way towards better opportunities for migrant women. The day will see discussion on project and policy matters relating to the labour market participation of migrant women, followed by a choir performance and a complimentary lunch. In the afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to participate together in creative workshops. There will also be stalls run by migrant women featuring handicrafts, offering attendees the chance to purchase items.

Policy discussion will focus on the outcomes of the project - inlcuding successes and challenges - as presented by project partners, ambassadors and beneficiaries, and there will also be guest speakers from European Commission's DG Home, the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), and the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI).

The event is free to attend; registration is required.
