SOS Racism held meetings with the Immigration Department of the Basque Government and the Basque Federation of Hoteliers to address the problem of discrimination in some bars of the community. The international organisation also requested a meeting with representatives of the Public Prosecutor, so that they too would intervene. In addition to the complaints dealt with by the Regional Consumer Rights office, the association intends to adopt "legal measures" against those pubs in Bilbao that were "most aggressive" towards immigrants after refusing them entry or a complaints form.
