The Nordic Council of Ministers has made DKK 2 000 000 available for projects in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Iceland, as well as the three autonomous territories – Åland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland - that promote the integration of refugees and migrants.
The stated aim of the funding is "bolstering Nordic co-operation on the integration of refugees and immigrants", through the exchange of experiences and generation of new knowledge. Projects will receive DKK 500 000 - DKK 1 000 000.
The funding application deadline is 30 June 2023.
Eligible projects are those that:
- spread and share Nordic knowledge and experiences of integration;
- bring together the official agencies and stakeholders in the Nordic Region who deal with integration, including ministries, boards, official agencies, local authorities, regional authorities, practitioners, experts and civil society;
- support ongoing integration work in the Nordic countries.
The call is open to a wide range of actors, such as municipal, regional and national authorities, universities and research institutions, and NGOs in the Nordic countries.
