The Belgian Equality Body presents its repport for the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The Belgian Equality Body will experiment important transformations in the current year 2014. If it will become competent for regional matters, the Belgian Equality Body will not be competent anymore on matters linked to fundamental rights of foreigners. These matters (fundamental rights of foreigners, migratory flows and fight against human trafficking) are given to another institution, the Federal Center for the analysis of migration flows, the protection of foreigners' fundamental rights et the fight against human trafficking. The government agreement had foreseen the interfederal creation of another institution (the institute for the equality between men and women) and the creation of a general entity above these 3 institutions (discriminations/migrations/gender). This new institution was supposed to become the National Institution of Human Rights. However, this political agreement was not executed.
