As of 2018, non-governmental organisations active in a field of migration and asylum integration can apply for the financing to a brand new Active Citizens Fund. It is the result of a new consortium made of three foundations: the Ecopolis Foundation, the Open Society Institute and the Carpathian Foundation. During a period of four years the fund will distribute 8 million euros to Slovakian NGOs.
Among the fund's priorities are inclusion of the vulnerable population and human rights, democracy, active citizenship, public governance and transparency, fight against discrimination, gender equality and social security.
