The Union of Autonomous Trade Unions of Croatia (Savez Samostalnih Sindikata Hrvatske - SSSH) is organising a shorter cycle of half-day courses entitled "Trade union, solidarity and foreign workers: why and how to organise them in a union?". The course addresses reasons and mechanisms for employing foreign workers, seeks answers to the questions of why and how to organise foreign workers in a union, and presents positive examples of the approach and organisation of foreign workers and their economic integration into labour markets. The half-day courses will be held in 3 cities: Zagreb, Zadar, and Rijeka.
The course is conducted within the framework of the EDUCA@SSSH trade union education system, and is the result of the work of experts from affiliated unions and experts from the SSSH, as well as EDUCA trainers. This course is based on a combination of lectures and practical exercises, and each participant will receive a specially prepared manual.
All interested union representatives, members of union committees, and worker representatives may apply for participation, in agreement with their union. Courses will be held in Zagreb on 23 January, in Zadar on 28 January, and in Rijeka on 30 January 2025.
