
The Portuguese High Commission for Migration (ACM, I.P.) is now accepting applications for funding through the Immigrant Associations Support Programme 2020 (PAAI 2020).
The submission period is open until 9 January 2020. The total amount available under this call is € 250,000. Only immigrant associations whose representation is recognised by the ACM, I.P. are eligible to apply. The successful applications will feature projects that focus on:
Reception and Integration
- General support, information and referral offices
- Specialised support offices
- Information sessions
- Training actions aimed at meeting the specific needs of immigrants and their descendants
- Editing, publication and dissemination of information materials
- Other activities aimed at integrating immigrants and their descendants
Diversity Enhancement
- Awareness sessions
- Editing, publication and dissemination of awareness materials
- Events promoting interculturality
- Other activities promoting interculturality
Acknowledged Merit
- Radio and / or television programmes
- Initiatives developed under the theme designated by the European Commission for the year 2020
- Initiatives developed for the prevention and elimination of female genital mutilation under the National Strategy for Equality and Non-Discrimination - Portugal + Equal (2019-2030)
- Initiatives developed under the National Development Education Strategy (ENED)
- Initiatives that meet the objectives of the International Decade of Support for People of African Descent
- Actions focused on promoting gender equality and empowering women through mediation, community participation and women’s associations
- Other initiatives of recognised merit
For each approved project, the maximum co-financing rate is 70% of the total eligible cost, and applications must request a total eligible investment not higher than €10,000. Projects cannot have an execution period of more than 12 months.
