
UNHCR published an invitation for expressions of interest for refugee-led and community-based organisations. It specifically welcomes proposals relating to 4 areas:
- Educational inclusion initiatives aiming to support the school integration of refugee children, prioritising adolescence and supporting the transition between educational levels.
- Facilitation of refugees’ access to safe, legal and decent employment, including by addressing language barriers or providing ancillary services such as daycare, transport support etc.
- Support in accessing long-term accommodation or housing, including through provision of counselling and/or accompaniment, excluding cash assistance for housing.
- Initiatives focused on the prevention of gender-based violence.
Projects must be implemented in 2024, with a minimum duration of three months. The total amount of funding to be allocated under the call is 2.800.000 HUF per project.
The application deadline is 31 March 2024.
UNHCR is also offering an online information session on the call, covering the purpose of the programme, eligibility requirements, reporting obligations, and how to apply. Participants will have the opportunity to address their questions directly to UNHCR colleagues. These will take place on 13 March in 3 languages:
