
A second call for strategic project proposals has been opened by the Active Citizens Fund in Bulgaria.
Eligible applicants for this most recent call can submit project proposals in six thematic areas:
- Strengthening of democratic culture and civic awareness;
- Increasing awareness of human rights;
- Empowerment of vulnerable groups;
- CSOs actively addressing gender equality and gender-based violence;
- Increasing civic engagement in environmental protection/climate change;
- Enhancing capacity and sustainability of the civil society sector, including CSOs.
Third-country nationals, including refugees and asylum seekers, are the expected beneficiaries of the projects that will be chosen by the Fund.
The Fund is running this call under the European Economic Area (EEA) Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 (more information on the mechanism can be found here).

The deadline for submission of project proposals is 5 January 2021.
