Malta: Annual event and free tuition for young migrants at the Immaculate Conception Band Club

Flag of Malta

The Immaculate Conception Band Club is organising Kuncizzjoni goes Ethnic - Integration through Music, an initiative that encourages young migrants between 13 and 30 to start or continue free music tuition at the club, located in Hamrun.

The project aims to promote integration and help foreigners to become part of the Maltese community, by using music as a way of overcoming cultural barriers. Band clubs in Malta have a rich cultural and traditional history, exemplifying the importance of religion, national festivities, and village pride within small localities. The clubs provide a meeting place for Maltese members and a learning space where young musicians can practice to participate in village feast activities.

In addition to the free-of-charge music training, young foreign musicians will be able to participate in the annual event, which will be held in July 2022. Interested candidates should submit their applications to participate by 25 February 2022.
