Luxembourg - International conference on statelessness

EMN

The Luxembourg National Contact Point of the European Migration Network (LU EMN NCP) is organising a Conference on Statelessness on the Campus Kirchberg of the University of Luxembourg. The Conference taking place on 15 April 2016 will address ways to tackle statelessness and allow the exchange of experiences and good practices.

In Europe, it is estimated that 600.000 persons are stateless. Following the European Commission's recommendation to foster the exchange of good practices among Member States, this conference aims to be a step in that direction. The issue of statelessness will be analysed on multiple levels - European, international and national - and representatives from different backgrounds will join the discussion. Luxembourg’s Minister of Family and Integration Corinne Cahen will open the Conference.
