Living Library at the Benaki Museum

On 22 September, the Living Library will be located in the atrium of the Benaki Museum in Piraeus Street.

At a time when racism and the targeting of diversity seem to get out of control, understanding and acceptance of diversity may be the only answer to the violence causing fear of the stranger. The Living Library proposes human contact as the best antidote to discrimination, and a friendly chat face to face with ‘living books’, i.e. with people telling how they accepted racism through their personal experiences, as the simplest tool for understanding of each other and address the ignorance that creates prejudice.
