Hungary: Information session on new immigration law

Flag of Hungary

Hungary's new immigration law, which entered into force on 1 January 2024, brings important changes for foreigners living in the country and for those who help them. This in-person workshop, being held on 26 March in Budapest, will promote better understanding of and provide further information on the new legislation.

The event - being delivered as part of the IOM-supported 'Supplementary employment-related assistance and integration service provision to displaced persons from Ukraine' project - will also facilitate discussion of the new statuses, the employment of third-country nationals (TCNs) in light of the changes, and the most recently published implementation rules.

The target group for the workshop is Hungarian-speaking professionals who work with TCNs.
