The Menedék Association is hosting a 2-day workshop for healthcare workers, focusing on building skills specific to treating patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. This training aims to address common questions that healthcare providers may have when working with migrant patients. By improving cross-cultural communication, the workshop hopes to minimise misunderstandings and enhance patient care.
Designed for healthcare professionals, the workshop explores the underlying reasons behind behaviours or reactions that may initially seem unfamiliar or difficult to interpret. Through interactive sessions, participants will learn practical skills to communicate more effectively with patients, their families, and colleagues. In an environment where clear communication can directly impact health and wellbeing, these skills are crucial for bridging cultural gaps in understanding and care.
The workshop is funded as part of the AccessIN project under the European Union's AMIF initiative. Access is free, though spots are limited. Interested participants are encouraged to register by 12 November. Further information can be found here.
