Today Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson will host the second High-level Forum to advance the work on safe and legal pathways for those people in need of protection.
The forum promotes closer cooperation with partner countries, UNHCR, IOM, and civil and business organisations. It brings together EU Member States, the US, Canada, and the UK, with the goal of coordinating efforts to provide solutions for vulnerable refugees around the world. Discussion will focus on admission programmes, such as resettlement and humanitarian admission, and on promoting new labour pathways.
The event will be live streamed here at 15h30 CET. More information will be made available in a press release once the forum has concluded.
