Croatia: SYNERGY project launch conference

Flag of Croatia

The Office for Human Rights and the Rights of National Minorities is organising the launch conference of the SYNERGY project on 3 July in Zagreb.

The purpose of the project, which will run for 36 months, is to strengthen multi-level cooperation in the application of international and national standards for the integration of third-country nationals (TCNs) in the Republic of Croatia, with an emphasis on people granted international protection. The project is co-financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).

The project's specific goals are the following:

  1. To reduce administrative barriers in accessing guaranteed rights and services by providing translation services in languages most commonly used by persons granted international protection, and other TCNs.
  2. To strengthen the coordination capacities of the integration system through intensified cooperation with local government units, TCNs, and civil society organisations.
  3. To increase awareness among key stakeholders and the general population regarding legal migration and the contribution of TCNs to societal development.
  4. To improve the process of creation, monitoring and evaluation of measures from strategic acts for integration, from the perspective of implementers and beneficiaries.

The conference is open to all stakeholders in migration, asylum and integration in Croatia. Registration is required and will close on 28 June.
