The thirteenth edition of the annual doctoral seminar "Migration and Cultural Diversity" will take place at the University of Liège on 27 and 28 April 2022. The theme of the seminar is: 'Any issue related to the field of research can be the subject of a communication'.
The seminar will be of relevance to any doctoral student interested in the field of migration and post-migration studies and/or theories of integration (social and cultural diversity in contemporary societies).
Keynote speakers at the event will include:
- Roger Waldinger: Distinguished Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA);
- Benjamin Moignard: Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Paris-Est Créteil;
- Ilke Adam: post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for European Studies of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and lecturer at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Papers accepted for presentation at this event will be grouped into workshops with a certain focus (thematic, theoretical, geographical or other). Each presentation will last approximately 20 minutes and will be critically discussed by a specialist.
