Portugal: Fourth edition of the Diversity Seal

Flag of Portugal

The fourth edition of Portugal's Diversity Seal initiative, which has been running since 2017, is now open. The seal is awarded to organisations that develop and implement policies and practices aimed at promoting and valuing diversity, and is the result of partnership between the Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion and the High Commission for Migration. So far, 31 seals and 12 honourable mentions have been awarded.

The Diversity Seal has 6 categories:

  1. Commitment from upper levels of management
  2. Organisational culture
  3. Recruitment, selection and people management practices
  4. Professional development and career progression
  5. Communication of the Charter for Diversity and its principles
  6. Working conditions and accessibility

Each organisation can submit more than one application, but only one per category, and submitted practices must be currently active. Any organisation that is a signatory of the Portuguese Charter for Diversity can apply. The application period closes on 30 June 2023, with results being announced in November.
