Flag Poland

The Hello Entrepreneurship Programme is a new funding opportunity from Ashoka Poland and the Citi Foundation to support social enterprises started by migrants living in Poland. The Programme will provide comprehensive support for ten migrants’ initiatives, including help with developing a business model, promoting the business and making contacts. Programme participants will receive financial support equivalent to 3,200 US Dollars (about 12,360 PLN). Applications can be submitted until 30 November 2019.

The organisers of the programme are searching for business projects that:

  • Are mature and implementable
  • Address social problems of migrants in Poland or other significant social or environmental problems observed in Poland
  • Are innovative, creative and constructive
  • Build or strengthen public trust
  • Are sustainable and have potential for development

Projects that address social problems of migrants could include, for example, projects that promote the hiring of migrants or support groups that are especially vulnerable to social exclusion (e.g., single mothers, etc.).

Sustainability and potential for development are important. The following criteria will also be considered:

  • Motivation and credibility of the person/persons submitting the project
  • Experience of the person/persons submitting the project—its feasibility
  • Openness and readiness of the person/persons submitting the project for self-development and learning
