The Federal Government's Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration introduced to the public the newly founded Council on Integration. The advisory body is supposed to consult and support the Commissioner in fulfilling her tasks. It will be composed of up to 32 members, among which will be representatives of migrant organisations, social partners, welfare associations and academia. The body will be chaired by the Commissioner. The installation of the council was foreseen in the coalition agreement between the political parties forming the current federal government.
