Eurostat published new tools allowing readers to filter data related to migration, asylum and integration per topic and country.
The Migrant integration and inclusion dashboard allows users to compare data about the citizens of non-EU countries, citizens of other EU countries and nationals of the reporting country, as well as to zoom out and explore EU-wide statistics. The data covers all major integration areas and topics, including:
- demography
- labour market
- education
- social inclusion
- housing
- health
- active citizenship

The EU statistical office also launched the Migration and asylum in Europe – 2023 interactive publication which places EU-wide statistics in the context of issues such as population diversity, protection and asylum, irregular migration and return, and skills of migrants. The latter topic, for example, ties into the 2023-2024 European Year of Skills which aims to promote a mindset of reskilling and upskilling. The statistics in this section illustrate the EU countries' efforts to attract skilled migrants, but also provide a timely glimpse into the issue of overqualification among migrant populations in the EU.
