The move comes after he and other cabinet officials spent the spent the day on Monday reviewing an Immigration Ministry report about its failure to grant stateless Palestinians citizenship, in violation of UN conventions.
Hornbech had initially shrugged off criticism of her role in the affair, pointing out that the rejections were made under previous immigration ministers, and that she only recently became aware of them.
