European Integration Network meeting: Matching skills with opportunities

European Commission

On 23 - 24 November the European Integration Network (EIN) will host its second meeting of 2023. The meeting - entitled “Matching skills with opportunities: Towards a more sustainable labour market inclusion of migrants” - will take place in Madrid and is organised by the European Commission (EC) in cooperation with the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The first day of the meeting will examine different challenges related to labour market integration, drawing from the priorities of the EU Action Plan on Integration and Inclusion 2021-2027 and taking into account work carried out as part of the European Year of Skills. EIN representatives explore challenges and good practices in facilitating labour market integration pathways and delivering related programmes that take into account the specific needs of different categories of migrant, such as migrant women and beneficiaries of/applicants for international protection.

On the second day, the EC and EIN representatives will discuss integration-related activities at the EU and country levels. Updates on integration policies and AMIF national programmes will be shared, and discussion will take place on how the CIRCABC European Integration Network Interest Group can help EIN representatives to exchange effectively and work together.
