Czech Republic: AMIF funding for provision of housing support to those displaced from Ukraine

The Ministry of the Interior announced the 18th call for proposals under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) Operational Programme for Czechia, with the specific action of supporting the housing of people displaced from Ukraine. The aim of the call is to assist temporary protection holders who are staying in temporary emergency mass accommodation facilities with their transition to private accommodation. Funding will be provided to projects for 16 months (one project in each of the country's 14 regions).

Supported activities: 

  • Provision of housing support (assistance with the transition to commercial accommodation and distribution of a one-off lump sum allowance).
  • Field monitoring of the social and economic situation, and mapping the conditions of the target group and the situation of regional rental housing markets.
  • Participation in the information campaign on the issue of refugees from Ukraine.

Total allocation for projects: 255 million CZK (approximately 10.2 million EUR).

Eligible applicants: NGOs, educational and advisory institutions, municipalities, regions, international and intergovernmental organisations, subsidiary organisations and organisational units of the state.
