
The Bulgarian Ministry of Interior has opened a call for proposals within the framework of the National Program of the Republic of Bulgaria under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) 2014-2020. The theme for the call is ‘Integration and Legal Migration – Implementing Measures for the EU Action Plan on the Integration of Third-Country Nationals’.
The specific purpose of the call is to support legal migration to Member States in accordance with their economic and social needs, such as labour market needs, while safeguarding the integrity of the immigration systems of Member States, and to promote the effective integration of third-country nationals. The proposed project activities can be in the fields of:
- Education
- Labour market integration and access to vocational training
- Access to basic services (housing, healthcare)
- Active participation and social inclusion
The overall aim is to realise projects which contribute to the development of the European Union's common asylum and migration policy while fully respecting the rights and principles enshrined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union as well as contributing to the strengthening of freedom, security, and justice and applying the principles of solidarity and shared responsibility between Member States and cooperation with third countries.
