Flag Czech Republic EWSI

This report provides in-depth statistical analysis of the lives of foreigners residing in the Czech Republic, with particular focus on foreigners in the Czech labour market and enrolled in education.

Comprehensive information on the year 2023 is shared, as well as on the development of key indicators in more recent years. Statistics are taken from data provided by the Labour Ministry, Ministry of Industry and Trade and Education Ministry.

The first chapter of the report provides information on the categories of foreigners by residence permit types, gender, age, nationality and purpose of stay in the country as a whole.  The second chapter, focusing on the economic activity of foreigners in the Czech Republic, is divided into two subchapters: the first discusses foreigners in the position of employees, and the second pertains to foreigners holding trade licenses. The third chapter is also divided into several subchapters and looks at foreigners studying in various types of schools in the Czech Republic, including foreign children attending kindergartens.
