Vilnius-based non-governmental organisation Diversity Development Group is holding a storytelling training session for foreign residents in Lithuania. Participants will learn:
- what storytelling is;
- how to tell personal stories in an engaging way;
- how sharing stories can benefit the process of integration.
The training forms part of the international project DIGItal storytelling for Migrant Integration (DIGIMI), which is funded by the European Commission's Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). It will be held face-to-face rather than online, and will be delivered in English.
The training will be led by professional storyteller Milda Varnauskaite, who has participated in hundreds of international storytelling events and teaches storytelling to both beginner and professional performers. Milda has previously curated and produced storytelling events for the Mezrab Cultural Centre in Amsterdam, Vilnius University, Kaunas 2022 – European Capital of Culture, the National Museum of Lithuania, and non-profit organisation ImproBattle in the Netherlands.
