The African Media Association Malta will host a podcast creation workshop for young migrants and local youth to discuss human rights issues. This project aims to teach young migrants about radio broadcasting, as well as to provide a space to challenge societal issues and share unique migration experiences.
The event will begin with discussion of the 30 articles of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. Participants will then have the opportunity to create podcasts based on a variety of topics including, among others:
- migrant rights;
- freedom of expression;
- fake news;
- media literacy;
- critical thinking.
Participants will be able to request reimbursement for costs incurred in travelling to and from the workshop venue.
