The seventh edition of the Global Migration Film Festival (GMFF), organised by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), will take place on 6 January 2023 in Lisbon. The selected film for this year is 'Flee', by Jonas Poher Rasmussen, which is filmed in Danish, Dari and English. It will be displayed with Portuguese subtitles.
IOM has been organising the GMFF in Portugal since 2016. The festival showcases films and documentaries that capture the potential and challenges of migration, and the contributions that migrants bring to their new communities. Its aim is to pave the way for better discussion around migration, one of today's greatest phenomena.
