Sweden: Migration Studies Delegation accepting proposals for research projects

Flag of Sweden

The Migration Studies Delegation (Delmi) is an independent committee, funded by the Swedish Government, whose primary objective is to provide background input for future migration policy. It disseminates, summarises, translates, and promotes existing Swedish and international research.

Delmi also initiates new studies in the field of migration and integration, and can commission studies, research and reports. It is currently accepting new proposals for research projects.

Proposals can be submitted by individuals within Delmi itself (committee members or members of the secretariat), as well as by external applicants such as researchers, experts, officials, and other stakeholders in the migration and integration field. Reports and research overviews will be carried out by academic researchers.

Application guidelines

Applications - of a maxiumum of 3 000 words - must be submitted in either Swedish or English, and must give a concise project description outlining potential research questions, relevance, expected conclusions, policy recommendations, a preliminary cost estimation, and a timeline.

The duration of eligible projects will be 6-12 months (not full time), and final reports will be presented at a public seminar.
