Supporting the integration of Ukrainian children in Romania’s schools

European Commission

The attack against Ukraine by Russia has displaced millions of people since it began in February 2022. In Romania, due to the vast majority of displaced Ukrainians being women and children, access to education for children has been one of the main challenges in integrating new arrivals.

The European Commission (EC) is supporting the acceleration of access to essential services for those fleeing Ukraine in Romania, including access to education for children. This video explains how its Technical Support Instrument is helping children integrate into Romania's school system.
