Simplification of procedures and strengthening the structures responsible for migration, determining categories of foreigners particularly important for interests of the state, reform of the system of integration of migrants and monitoring their situation, as well as increasing the role of NGOs and research institutes dealing with broadly understood migration issues are major proposals contained in the document 'Poland's migration policy - current state of play and further actions'.
The document was adopted on 31 July 2012 by the Polish government. It was prepared by the working group on elaboration of Polish Migration Strategy, established within the inter-ministry Team for Migration and consulted with representatives of non-governmental organisations and scientific environments.
