Portuguese flag

Deadline extended!

The Portuguese High Commission for Migration (ACM, I.P.) is now accepting funding applications for the design of plans to address the integration of third-country nationals (TCNs) in schools and the surrounding environment. This funding, amounting to € 1.1 million, is made available through the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).

The successful projects will focus on:

  • Awareness raising and training for teaching and non-teaching staff to promote schools’ active role in the integration of TCNs, as well as in intercultural education and anti-discrimination initiatives
  • Creation or dissemination of teaching and other resources in different languages which would address local education communities
  • Development of local partnerships among actors supporting schools in the integration of migrant students, including in non-educational aspects (for example, in terms of social and health services)
  • Collaborative work between educational organisations, establishing micro-networks and meetings for sharing experiences and best practices

Approved projects may benefit from a maximum co-financing rate of 75 percent, and applications must request a total eligible investment higher than € 30,000.

The duration period of the projects should not exceed 24 months.

Applications must be submitted electronically by 31 October 2019. Further details are available here.
