Karpatská nadácia and UNICEF announced an extensive grant programme, Together for Children, which allocates more than € 1 000 000 to projects promoting fair and inclusive access to care and education for children fleeing the war in Ukraine, disabled children, and children from socially disadvantaged environments, as well as their parents and guardians.
The programme has the following key objectives:
- Support a fair and inclusive approach to the care and education of children who fled the war in Ukraine and vulnerable children.
- Support, in particular, the introduction of systemic and sustainable changes in cooperation with municipalities, experts, and educators.
- Provide education and support to the parents and guardians of these children so they can provide appropriate care.
- Build partnerships between municipalities, schools, non-governmental, non-profit organisations, professionals, and other actors in the field of inclusive education and early childhood care.
- Introduce high-quality inclusive education and childcare at the local level.
An essential aspect of eligible projects is partnership and cooperation between municipalities, schools, non-governmental organisations, experts and other actors - in the area of inclusive education and care in early childhood - that works to introduce systemic and sustainable change.
The programme will grant an overall total of €1 090 000 to eligible projects, via small and large individual grants. Small grants will amount to a maximum of €29 999, and the limit for large grants is €80 000.
The deadline for grant applications is 28 February 2023, 11:59 pm.
Supported projects must have started no earlier than 1 January, and must finish no later than 31 October. Further details on the programme and eligibility criteria can be found here.
