14 trainees successfully finished the learning programme on Diversity and Development taught between March and December 2017 at the Faculty of Human Motricity of the University of Lisbon, in partnership with the High Commission for Migration (ACM) and the Choices Programme (Programa Escolhas).
Seven trainees, including some of migrant descents, were awarded the diploma of "Animator in Diversity and Development". The diploma of "Postgraduate in Diversity and Development" was given to 7 other trainees (mediators). They are working in neighbourhoods with a high share of immigrant population, mostly in Lisbon and in the Northern regions.
This pilot project aimed at giving community animators and mediators the tools to interact with migrant and / or refugee populations in the areas as education, health, innovation and identity.
