After a beta released on 20 June 2017, the European Commission has now launched the final version of the Skills Profile Tool. The online editor will support the early identification and documentation of skills and work experiences of the third country nationals and serve as a basis for issuing personalised advice on further steps towards labour market and societal integration.
The tool is intended for refugees, migrants and all other citizens of non-EU countries residing in the EU. The target group can use it on a voluntary basis and free of charge. To facilitate its use among third country nationals, a video tutorial has been created and the website has been translated into all EU languages (except Irish), as well as in Arabic, Farsi, Pashto, Sorani, Somali, Tigrinya and Turkish. More languages will be added in the course of 2018.
To facilitate its use among different groups of stakeholders such as asylum centres, public employment services or guidance centres, the European Commission will be organising seminars in the coming months. The next ones will take place on Thursday 18 January (15.00 CET) and Friday 9 February (11.00 CET). Please contact EMPL-E2-SKILLS-PROFILETOOL@ec.europa.eu for further dates and instructions.
