Czech Republic: Call for applications for research and innovation in applied social sciences

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic announces a call for applications on research, experimental development and innovation in applied social sciences and humanities. The thematic scope of the call is broad and projects encompassing research and its application (including in cooperation with partners such as public administration bodies, NGOs, enterprises etc.) in the area of migration and integration can be submitted. 

Proposals should focus on one or more of the following aspects:

  • implementing a multidisciplinary approach,
  • linking technical and non-technical research,
  • extracting potential outputs of basic research for application.

The Call is launched within the scope of the ETA programme which promotes the incorporation of social sciences and humanities into projects of applied research, experimental development and innovation. These projects need to be beneficial for maintaining and improving the quality of human life in response to dynamic social, economic, globalisation, cultural and technological transformations. Their outputs should be applied in new or substantially improved existing products, procedures, processes or services in the following areas:

  • man and society - dynamic social and technological changes
  • man and the environment - sustainable development of the countryside, regions and cities
  • man and the economy - developing competences for the 21st century
  • man and the social system - interactions between citizens and the state, and public policies, administrations and services.

The deadline for submitting grant applications is 21 June 2018.
