As part of its New Europeans Initiative (NEI), a project dedicated to boosting the civic and political participation of people from various migration backgrounds, the Migration Policy Group (MPG) is hosting a webinar on 10 October.
The webinar will see presentation of a new report that analyses interviews conducted with New European representatives across the EU on the barriers they face to participation and their related suggestions for policymakers. There will also be a panel debate on these barriers and potential strategies for overcoming them, followed by presentation of the next steps for the New Europeans Initiative, including the toolkit for participatory policy-making, Democracy Academy, podcast and workshops.
