SMITE Story Café: impact of selective listening on critical thinking

SMITE logo

The African Media Association, NWAMI International Malta, and Academy of Givers are organising a discussion event on 28 January as part of the SMITE January Story Café initiative. The SMITE initiative ('stereotypes and mass information together explored') seeks to go beyond a biased, one-dimensional view of migrants to increase awareness of diverse backgrounds through media literacy, critical thinking, and healthy debate.

The discussion will examine how preconceptions can affect the hearing and processing of information. Its aim is to boost critical thinking capacity and encourage a more socially inclusive mindset.

The event is open to the public. Registration can be secured by emailing acf.smite@gmail.com.
