As a result of increasing demand from beneficiaries of international protection and with support from UNHCR Romania, the Romanian National Council for Refugees has issued guidelines on how to apply for Romanian citizenship. These guidelines have been uploaded to official websites - previously severely lacking information - alongside clear, simple guidance on citizenship procedures and the interviews and tests involved.
The interview preparation guide includes practical information and examples of questions asked of former applicants. It is suitable for all third country nationals hoping to acquire citizenship, regardless of the type of residence permit they hold.
