This call for proposals, under the Small Initiatives Scheme of the Active Citizens Fund in Bulgaria, will address areas that are important for social inclusion and the sustainability of civil society organisations. One of the target beneficiary groups of the call are asylum seekers and refugees.

The Small Initiatives Scheme is part of the Active Citizens Fund in Bulgaria, under the European Economic Area (EEA) Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. The overall objectives of the Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 are to contribute to the reduction of economic and social disparities in the EEA and to strengthen bilateral relations between donor and beneficiary states participating in the Fund.

Timeline for applications

Between 2019 and 2023, the Small Initiatives Scheme will function as a rolling call consisting of up to eight application filing sessions with six-month submission periods. The Small Initiatives Scheme will close on 19 September 2023.
