The Estonian Integration Foundation, in collaboration with the country's Ministry of Culture, will host its 11th Integration Conference - entitled “Cultural Diversity – An Obstacle or an Opportunity in Shaping a Cohesive Society?” - on 14 - 15 November.
The event will bring together prominent scientists, policy-makers, and practitioners from Estonia and across Europe to address critical themes, including:
- cultural diversity and democracy;
- a common space of information, culture, and values in the digital age;
- radicalisation and democracy;
- electoral and migration trends.
The conference’s core focus for 2024 is on sustaining cultural diversity while fostering societal cohesion. Discussions will revolve around mitigating polarisation, maintaining a shared information space in an age of digital echo chambers, resisting radicalisation, and envisioning how cultural diversity may evolve in the coming years.
The conference offers free participation, either on site in Tallinn or via live webcast. Sessions on 14 November are accessible both on site and online, while on 15 November events are in-person only. Presentations and discussions will be available in Estonian, English and Russian, with opportunities to engage directly with speakers.
Registration is open until 8 November.
