The CroAfro Convention, which will take place at the Ethnographic Museum in Zagreb on 20 April 2024, is a one-day event aiming to encourage dialogue between Croatia and African countries at the local level through artistic performances and workshops. The convention is organised by the Afro Badinya Association in cooperation with the Center for Peace Studies, and is part of the Building Community through Culture project of the European Network Against Racism (ENAR). The convention is an opportunity to display the rich heritage of different countries and combines music, dance, food and more.

14:20-15:20 The Dance of North Africa, a lecture, performance and workshop with Ana Apsaradha and dance ensemble OPAA, Croatia
15:30-16:00 The Dance of the West African mask character Kumpo with rhythmic accompaniment, with Mamadou Abdoulaye Seydi, Sadibou Ba, Castro Sidibe Coulibaly, Senegal
16:10-16:30 Performance of traditional Croatian folk songs, music and dance, Ogranak Seljačke sloge Buševac, Croatia
16:40-17:40 Dance workshop: Afro-contemporary dance, with Charles Ngombengombe, Zimbabwe
17:50-18:00 Performance: Vladimir Prelog Academic Choir and Kapellmeister Iva Juras, Croatia
