Migration is a prominent topic in politics, society, and academic research. Global conflicts, climate change, and evolving migration laws significantly impact lives worldwide, highlighting issues like integration and discrimination. To promote deeper exploration of these themes, Utrecht University is hosting its second Migration and Societal Change Conference on 19 - 20 June 2025.
The event, which will be free to attend and open to all, will present recent research and policy insights, contributing to a clearer understanding of the complex challenges and opportunities within migration today.
Call for papers
The university is also calling for proposals for panels or individual papers for the conference. Submissions can address a wide range of themes, including climate change, labour migration, racism, and citizenship.
Proposals should include a 300-word abstract and must be submitted by 1 February 2025. Find further information here.
