Poland's Office for Foreigners launched an online portal - Cases Handling Module - to help foreigners fill out residency applications and provide them with reliable knowledge on migration procedures. It is is available in seven languages: Polish, English, Ukrainian, Russian, French, Vietnamese and Armenian.
The first section of the portal, Read the information, contains a questionnaire that redirects foreigners to information tailored to their individual needs. Those already aware of the specific information they need can access it directly via the relevant website tabs.
The second section, Avoid mistakes, allows foreigners to find the most frequently asked questions and their answers, a list of common mistakes made during the residency application process, and checklists to follow. The section also offers instructional videos and guides for foreigners.
The third section, Fill out an application or prepare a pleading, allows foreigners to fill out and send an application for a temporary or permanent residence permit online, in most cases by simply selecting the appropriate answer from a list of prompts. Users can also access relevant forms to be printed, or filled out online.
In the News section of the portal users can find information about recent and upcoming legal changes, as well as other essential information from the Office for Foreigners. The Legal Regulations section shares current legal acts related to migration procedures.
The portal was created as part of the Safe Harbour project, co-financed by the national Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) programme.
