Racism and associated practices in Belgium

Official registered claims show that discrimination based on racial criteria still represent the most important dimension of racism in Belgium. Combined with those founded on the religious affiliation, these claims largely arrive before those based on age, sexual orientation and handicap. In Belgium, groups especially trageted by racism are Muslims, Jews, Roma, Black people and migrants. This report focuses also on the isalmophobia dimension of racism.
