News portal, organisations catalogue and social network for the national minorities organisations 'Etnoweb'

The Etnoweb project was created to improve communication between various cultural organisations and minority communities, and everyone who could be interested in the information provided - mass media, government, foundations or people interested in national cultures.

Project Goal

The goal of project Etnoweb is to allow activities in cultural societies and societies of national minorities an integral part of the overall information and cultural space of Estonia.

Etnoweb allows to quickly see who is doing what in any cultural minority group. It gives the opportunity to read fresh news from communities and government institutions as well as to see what is happening right now and what will be happening in the future. In Etnoweb information about current competitions and calls for proposals can be found as well as project partner(s). There you can find also contact information of consultants and officials.

Etnoweb aims to facilitate close cooperation between NGOs, NGOs and the state, NGOs and media; involving minorities in creative industry processes. During the first year 300 organisations were included in the catalogue and 20 representative umbrella organisations were involved in projects activities.

The first year goal is now achieved.

Second year goal is to have min. 500 organisations in the catalogue, hold 1 thematic conference and include sunday schools of the minorities in the activities.
Etnoweb is  based on citizen journalism model – uniting the media school, the media channel inside a social network.
